CAREER COUNSELLING CELL                                                   

 

Career Counseling is a lifelong process since the individual choose an occupation, prepare for it, and make progress in it. Career Counseling has to do with knowing their interest, selection of their subject, formation of their study habit and make them progress in those subject and activities and attain the ultimate aim of getting good career as per their wish.  It is concerned primarily with helping the individual to make decisions and choices involved in planning for future and to form career decisions and choice necessary in affecting career adjustment.  It is concerned primarily with helping the individual to make decisions and choices involved in planning for future and to form career decisions and choice necessary in affecting career adjustment.

Vivek College of Education has established special Cell for the career Counseling of the students. It is an active career counseling cell which provides guidance to the students of the college to improve their overall personalities and help them to meet challenges in their life. Students are guided not only in selection of subjects but further studies, job avenues, personal and social problems.

Career Counseling Cell has been established in the college to provide guidance to achieve following objectives:-

1. To provide guidance to the students on various options available in the course of their study.

2. To identifying and developing Students’ abilities and interests.

3. To help the students to solve their Personal, Educational and Psychological problems.

4. To develop positive attitude and behavior in order to meet challenges.

5. To create awareness among the students for their future Profession.

6. To provide information to the students on the scope and relevance of any area irrespective of their field of interest.

7. To Recognize their strength overcome and weaknesses.

8. To help the students to adjust with the changing environment.

 

 Functions of the Cell:

1.The guidance and counseling help desk is active to guide the students for making correct choices in terms of subject combinations and for choosing the right option for them. The other queries of the students arealso answered.

2.The Principal being the head of the institution also guide many students throughout the session and provides multiple counseling sessions to the students in need, along with the committee members. The whole process is kept confidential in order to maintain the dignity of counseling.

3.The cell counsels those students who face problems during study due to the family problems or personal anxieties.

4.Besides all these things the students can approach the cell for any kind of personal, vocational educational guidance required by the students even when they leave the college.

5.Most of the students face academic stress due to which constant stress relaxation sessions is conducted through Yoga sessions,so as to help them overcome the same.
