Placement – Introduction

 

In today’s competitive environment where to get a respectful job is still a challenge for many students, we at vivek group of colleges are very much focused on the subject of student’s placement. We have set up a Corporate Resource Committee. It constitutes the Faculties with prior corporate experience, academicians and students from various departments. It is our continuous Endeavour to create all efforts which bring students and various corporate at a common platform. We groom students according to changing requirements of industry with help of soft training, corporate behavior training and other company specific requirements

Objective

Since we project ourselves as corporate resource committee and not a job provider to students yet all efforts are made to provide 100% students a common platform for corporate interaction.

Placements for students are being facilitated in 3 phases -:

 

1.      PPT (Pre Placement Training) – This is the very first phase for students where the targeted students are provided continuous training on corporate skills, Communication skills and presentation skills. They are being taught even on how to dress and how to carry themselves. In this phase our focus is to groom students and make them industry ready.

 

2.      SIP (Summer Internship Placements)The summer Internship is mandatory 2 month  Industry Interaction program  in various course curriculum where students work on the job in various companies and prepare a detailed project report on them. We bring corporate in to the campus to hire students for Summer Internship in their organizations. Generally 100% of eligible students are sent for summer internship. Also we are in talks with few companies for MOU regarding summer internship program

 

3.      FPP (Final Placement Program)In this phase students are being facilitated for final job placements. This is carried out in two modes off campus and on campus. There are some companies which come to campus and conducts interviews right here.  There are few companies which call students to their office locations and then interviews the students. We have decade long corporate relations where we are in touch with renowned corporate to hire our students. We have achieved a remarkable feat in placement of students and they are working in good job profiles.
